Medication and diagnostic errors, unhygienic surgical care procedures, unsafe transfusion practices, etc. cost many lives every year. Patient safety should be a priority for all in the healthcare sector. One of the vital things for ensuring this is checking for infections in the blood used for transfusions. Amidst a pandemic and with this campaign, we aim to spread awareness about safe blood transfusion as well as other issues that can impact patient safety.
